Every website template, UI pack and component on uiCookies is free to download and free to use, for personal projects, commercial projects and client work alike. There is nothing to buy and no licence to upgrade to.

Attribution is optional

Most of our templates include a small “Template by uiCookies” credit in the footer. You are welcome to keep it, move it or remove it. If you do keep it, or mention uiCookies somewhere on your site, we genuinely appreciate it: it is how other people find free templates, and it helps us keep making them. But it is a thank-you, not a condition of use.

What you can do

  • Use any template on as many personal, commercial and client websites as you like.
  • Change anything: layout, colours, copy, images and code.
  • Convert a template into a WordPress theme, a CMS layout or a front-end framework project for your own site or a client’s site.
  • Keep, move or remove the footer credit.

What you can’t do

  • Resell, redistribute or sublicense the templates themselves, original or modified, as templates or themes, including on marketplaces and template galleries.
  • Offer the template files for download on another website. Link to the template’s page on uiCookies instead.
  • Present a template as your own original design product.

Photos, icons, fonts and libraries

Third-party assets keep their own licences. Photos in our live demos are hotlinked from Unsplash under the Unsplash License, and any sample photos inside a download are there to show the layout, so replace them with your own images before launch. Bundled libraries such as Bootstrap are MIT-licensed, and icon sets and fonts carry the terms noted in their files. Where a template’s README states the MIT License, those terms apply in full.

Support and warranty

Templates are provided as-is, without warranty. We don’t offer one-to-one support for free templates, but bug reports and suggestions through our contact page are always read.

Earlier terms

Older versions of this page licensed templates under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 and sold a licence for removing the footer credit. That is no longer needed. Attribution is optional for every uiCookies template, including copies you downloaded before this change. If you bought a credit-removal licence in the past, thank you for supporting the project; your rights stay exactly as they are.
