Every template on this page was designed and is maintained in-house by uiCookies, so these are our own resume and CV websites rather than a list of links to other studios. There is one for a software engineer, one for a designer, one for an academic and several one-page resumes for anyone who wants their CV online in an afternoon.
A good resume website answers the questions a recruiter has in the first ten seconds: what you do, where you have done it, how to reach you and where the PDF is. That means a clear experience timeline with dates, skills that are described rather than just drawn as bars, links that work on a phone and, ideally, a CV that prints cleanly. Four of these templates ship a real print stylesheet, so the website and the CV you attach to an application come from the same content.
All of them are static HTML, CSS and JavaScript with a live demo and a direct download. Most are built on Bootstrap 5 with vanilla JavaScript and no jQuery; the exceptions are noted below. They are free for personal and commercial use, attribution is optional but always welcome, and the full terms are at uicookies.com/license. Looking for something that leads with projects rather than a CV? See our portfolio website templates and personal website templates.
The templates
Commitlog

Commitlog is a CV site for software engineers, shown for a fictional staff engineer. Experience is laid out like a git log, with commit hashes, a HEAD marker and several roles per company, and every skill is rated on a five-step scale with a written level and years of use, so the rating never depends on colour alone. Six open-source projects sit beside a contribution heatmap drawn in SVG.
There are three pages: the CV home page, three project case studies with syntax-coloured code blocks, and a resume page that prints to exactly one A4 or US Letter page with link addresses spelled out. Light and dark themes follow the system setting. Built on Bootstrap 5 with vanilla JavaScript and no jQuery.
Margin

Margin is a CV and portfolio for product and brand designers, set on a visible twelve-column grid with a margin column for section numbers and notes. Six project thumbnails are designed in HTML and CSS rather than images, so they stay sharp and are easy to restyle, and a filter sorts them by discipline. Client names appear as typographic wordmarks, and a skills section shows where the working hours go.
Four pages: the home page, one detailed case study with sketches and before-and-after wireframes, an about page, and a one-page CV with an A4 or Letter switch that saves as a PDF through the browser's print dialog. Bootstrap 5 with vanilla JavaScript and no jQuery.
Footnote

Footnote is an academic website and CV for researchers, PhD students and faculty, with the look of a university press page. The publication list is grouped by year, filters by journal article, conference paper, preprint and book chapter, searches across titles, authors and venues, and gives every entry a Copy BibTeX button. The owner's name is bolded in every author list.
Five pages: home with bio, news and selected papers; publications; research projects and funding; teaching with syllabi, supervision and an office-hours form; and a CV that prints cleanly to A4 or US Letter with numbered entries by type. Bootstrap 5 with vanilla JavaScript and no jQuery.
Profile

Profile is a single-page resume for any professional who wants one scroll that covers everything: a split hero with portrait, availability pill and a Download CV button, animated skill bars, a vertical experience timeline with year markers, a filterable work grid, education and certification cards and a validated contact form.
It is hand-written Bootstrap 5 with vanilla JavaScript and no jQuery, with a scrollspy menu, a header that compacts on scroll, a skip link and reduced-motion support.
Longhand

Longhand is a personal homepage and CV in a warm editorial design with light and dark mode: identity, experience, skills, side projects, writing and contact, plus a worked case-study page.
Its print stylesheet is the reason to pick it: printing turns the page into a filed A4 document, with the hero reflowed into a letterhead, screen-only sections dropped and each role kept with its achievements. It is built on the Bootstrap 6 alpha, so choose it if you are happy working with a pre-release framework.
Online CV

Online CV keeps your photo, name, role and social links in a fixed column while the rest of the resume scrolls beside it: about, expertise, skills, work history, education, a portfolio grid and a labelled contact form.
The skill meters and the dated timeline are pure CSS, and the only script is a small vanilla preloader. Bootstrap 5, jQuery-free, with no plugins to configure.
Resumex

Resumex is a one-page resume and portfolio with a sticky profile column held in place by native CSS sticky positioning, four expertise blocks, CSS-only skill meters with percentage badges, a dated timeline for work and education, a project grid and a contact form.
It stacks to a single column on phones and ships on Bootstrap 5 without jQuery.
MyProfile

MyProfile is a one-page resume for a freelance developer or designer, with sections for specialities, coding and design skills, work experience, education, freelance marketplace profiles, a portfolio and client reviews.
It is an older build on Bootstrap 3 with jQuery. It works for a quick static CV, but if you want a modern base, start with one of the templates above.

Frequently asked questions
Are these resume templates free for commercial use?
Yes. All of them are free for personal and commercial use, including client work and job applications. Attribution is optional but always welcome, so you can keep or remove the footer credit. The full terms are at uicookies.com/license.
Can I turn the website into a PDF CV?
Commitlog, Margin, Footnote and Longhand include a print stylesheet, so the browser's Print or Save as PDF option produces a clean CV with the navigation removed and link addresses printed. No PDF library is involved, which keeps the file you send identical to what you see on the page.
Do I need to know how to code?
You need to be comfortable editing HTML: replace the sample text with your own, swap the images and change colours in the CSS custom properties at the top of the stylesheet. Each template then uploads to any static host, such as GitHub Pages, Netlify or Cloudflare Pages.
Do the contact forms send email?
No. The forms validate in the browser and show a success state, but they do not send anything until you connect them to a form service or your own backend. The templates say so in their code and documentation.
What is the difference between a resume website and a portfolio website?
A resume website leads with your experience, skills and contact details and usually ends in a printable CV. A portfolio leads with the work itself. Margin covers both; for portfolio-first layouts see our portfolio templates.
